Royal Caribbean International
Royal Caribbean International is the cruise brand within Royal Caribbean Group that focuses on contemporary, activity-led holidays and families. The brand traces its launch to 1969. That history should not be confused with the parent company's corporate founding date or with the first voyage of an individual ship. Its operating base is Miami, Florida; the country shown here describes that headquarters location rather than the flag of its vessels or the parent's place of incorporation.

The checked fleet comprises 30 operating ships. This count excludes vessels listed separately as expansion projects in the group's investor information. The range matters more than the headline total: Vision and Radiance ships offer a different scale from the large Oasis and Icon designs, while Voyager, Freedom and Quantum provide further choices. A photograph of a new waterpark or an open-air theatre is therefore not a reliable description of every Royal Caribbean sailing. Start with the actual ship and then check the facilities, cabin plan and departure date attached to it.
Royal Caribbean identifies English as its principal onboard language. Its language guidance also notes a stronger Mandarin presence on certain culturally focused departures from mainland China. Guests who need announcements, children's activities or assistance in another language should confirm the arrangements for their particular sailing. A translated booking website does not establish which languages will be used in every onboard activity.
Onboard purchases are accounted for in US dollars under the operator's published terms. For a European guest, this separates the currency of the cruise quotation from the currency used for onboard spending. Compare the total cost after checking the specific fare's inclusions, optional dining, drinks, connectivity and any conversion arrangements; a ship's amenities list does not by itself tell you which purchases your fare includes.
When narrowing the choice, compare a large resort-style vessel with a smaller fleet alternative on the same travel dates. Consider walking distances, cabin position, time ashore and the number of sea days alongside the entertainment programme. Fleet membership and technical specifications are reference information, while terminal assignments and actual port times belong to the dated itinerary. Our ship records preserve that distinction and link to the operator's evidence rather than treating a promotional fleet overview as a sailing guarantee.
