About us Vision of the Seas

Vision of the Seas shares its name with Royal Caribbean's Vision family and began passenger service in 1998. The ship-specific operator sheet identifies Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France, as the builder. Its published scale places it well below the line's largest ships, but the individual layout and itinerary remain necessary to decide whether that scale suits a particular traveller.

The technical reference records 78,340 gross tonnage and a rounded length of 278 metres. The operator states 2,050 passengers at double occupancy, with 12 decks in total and 11 guest decks. Its cabin count is left open because the technical sheet and group-travel profile contain substantially different figures. No attempt is made to manufacture agreement by treating the double-occupancy capacity as a room count.

Vision's named social spaces include Some Enchanted Evening Lounge, Schooner Bar and R Bar. The documented facilities also contain Royal Theater, a climbing wall, an outdoor movie screen, pools, Solarium and the Vitality spa and fitness centre. Giovanni's Table, Izumi and Park Café are among the dining venues. This gives travellers specific places to investigate instead of a general claim that the ship offers every attraction associated with the brand.

The published example leaving San Juan on 1 November 2026 is a seven-night roundtrip. Calls are Charlotte Amalie, St. Johns in Antigua, Philipsburg, St. Croix and Basseterre in St. Kitts, followed by a cruising day before the return. The five destination visits distinguish this particular week from more sea-intensive itineraries. They are an explicitly dated example rather than a permanent route description.

When examining cabin choices, relate the room's position to your normal day: returning after a port visit, finding a quiet break and reaching the evening venues. Review the precise category rather than relying on a generic interior, ocean-view or balcony label. Vision's documented rooms and the sequence of the chosen itinerary together provide a useful basis for comparing it with other active members of the family.
