Port reference

Port Canaveral

Port Canaveral is a cruise departure point on Florida's Space Coast, separate from Orlando and its airport. The port has passenger terminals on both sides of the harbour. Before travelling, identify the terminal in your cruise documents: crossing to the wrong bank adds a different road journey rather than a short walk through one shared building.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

The official directions divide the north-side A terminals from the south-side B terminals. Access from State Road 528 depends on that division. Terminal numbers and individual street addresses are therefore useful for drivers and booked transfers. Drop passengers and checked baggage at the assigned terminal before proceeding to the correct parking area.

Orlando International Airport is a principal air connection, while Melbourne Orlando and Orlando Sanford provide alternatives with different road approaches. The port describes private, shared and cruise-line ground transport. Confirm the airport actually shown on your airline reservation and the provider's collection instructions. An Orlando-branded arrival does not mean a cruise terminal is within the airport complex.

The current port schedule records repeated departures by Carnival, Disney, Royal Caribbean, MSC, Norwegian and Princess ships. An individual terminal assignment can change between voyages. Use the date-specific cruise instructions rather than assuming that a line always uses a particular building because an earlier trip did.

For a stay before or after sailing, the Space Coast offers a different setting from an inland theme-park visit. Jetty Park lies at the port's eastern end, and The Cove provides a waterfront restaurant area. Cocoa Beach and Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex add separate outings. Rocket viewing depends on an actual launch schedule and conditions; it is not an activity guaranteed by a cruise call.

Choose a plan that leaves enough time for the ground journey, baggage handling and the assigned boarding window. A return-day attraction also needs a clear luggage arrangement and a realistic onward transfer. The coordinate here is the port's published general navigation reference, not a cruise-terminal entrance. The street address and confirmed terminal remain the practical instructions for arrival.

Getting there

Airport connections

Orlando International, Melbourne Orlando and Orlando Sanford have different road connections. Arrange an airport-to-terminal ground transfer and verify which airport and terminal your booking actually uses.

Rail connections

The port arrival information describes road and ground-transfer connections. A direct passenger rail service into the cruise terminals is not verified here; do not treat an inland rail station as the terminal.

Local transport and final connection

North-side A terminals use the access for exit54A; south-side B terminals use exit54B from State Road528. Check current signs, assigned boarding time and terminal-specific drop-off instructions.
