About us Serenade of the Seas
Serenade of the Seas is the third Radiance-family ship Meyer Werft delivered to Royal Caribbean International. The builder records delivery in July 2003, while the operator's dedicated sheet gives 25 August 2003 for the maiden passenger voyage. This construction history provides a useful distinction between the completion of a vessel and the beginning of its published cruise programme.
The technical sheet uses 90,090 gross tonnage, 293 metres of length and 2,143 guests at double occupancy. The builder specifies a moulded breadth of 32.2 metres. A comparable total deck count is left open because the yard's count and the operator's total/guest-deck convention do not align. Occupancy and crew totals in different historical publications are also kept on their stated source basis rather than silently mixed.
Serenade's documented venue names include Tropical Theater, Safari Club, Viking Crown Lounge and the Solarium. The class architecture described by the builder includes broad glazed areas and panoramic glass lifts. Together these details make the ship worth examining for someone who wants to compare its public-room layout with the activity-centred designs elsewhere in the Royal Caribbean fleet.
A checked itinerary dated 1 November 2026 is a seven-night San Diego roundtrip calling at Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan. There are cruising days as well as visits, so the route combines time in Mexican ports with time to use the ship. This is an individual deployment example; it should not be interpreted as a permanent Californian base or as a guarantee of the next season's schedule.
When choosing a cabin for a voyage like this, consider the view and your likely movement between lounges, dining and outdoor spaces across the entire week. A port-day routine and a sea-day routine can favour different locations. The current deck plan, the category's exact description and the dated itinerary supply the information needed to make that trade-off.
