About us Brilliance of the Seas

Brilliance of the Seas was delivered by Meyer Werft in July 2002 as the second Royal Caribbean ship built by the Papenburg yard. This builder record resolves an error in the operator's technical PDF, which names a Finnish shipyard. The German construction origin is therefore supported by the actual delivery statement rather than repeated from the inconsistent line in the marketing material.

The vessel belongs to the Radiance family. The builder's architectural account identifies extensive glazing, panoramic lifts, a glazed pool roof and a central atrium spanning nine decks. These details suggest a useful way to assess the ship: look at where the public interiors connect visually with the sea and where you would like to spend quieter time between port visits. They describe the design more concretely than a general claim about luxury or atmosphere.

The checked technical values include 90,090 gross tonnage, 293 metres of length and 2,142 guests at double occupancy. Moulded breadth is 32.2 metres according to the yard. The operator's facility list includes the Solarium, climbing wall, mini golf, cinema and Royal Theater. Different deck-count conventions are recorded as a limitation rather than combined into an unexplained total.

The dated itinerary example beginning 26 October 2026 runs for seven nights from Ravenna to Barcelona, with calls including Salerno, Civitavecchia, La Spezia, Ajaccio and Marseille. It is an example of a one-way Mediterranean journey. Several ports are presented alongside better-known regional destinations, so confirm the actual port name when arranging independent transfers or deciding what is realistic during a call.

For this type of port-rich sailing, compare the energy you want to devote to shore visits with the onboard programme. A cabin's location, outlook and sleeping arrangement remain important even when many days are spent ashore. Brilliance's specifications and individual route example give you separate pieces of evidence for those decisions.
