About us Odyssey of the Seas

Odyssey of the Seas was delivered by Meyer Werft on 31 March 2021 and entered passenger service later that year. The operator's factsheet dates the maiden voyage to 31 July. Keeping those milestones separate helps explain why a ship can have a documented construction completion before its first published passenger voyage. The builder describes Odyssey as a Quantum Ultra development within the wider Quantum family.

The selected current operator sheet publishes 167,704 gross tonnage, a rounded length of 347 metres and a double-occupancy reference of 4,198 guests. It lists 2,105 staterooms and distinguishes 16 counted total decks from 14 guest decks. The builder's original delivery announcement uses other summary technical figures, so the source notes make clear which dated publication supports the values here rather than combining old and current numbers.

SeaPlex, North Star, RipCord by iFLY and Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade feature in Odyssey's materials. The operator also identifies bumper cars and laser tag. This gives a group several specific activities to investigate when comparing a ship-centred holiday with a trip whose main appeal is its ports. Check the actual sessions and conditions instead of treating a facility list as a timetable.

The operator's example for 8 November 2026 is a seven-night Cape Liberty, New Jersey, roundtrip calling at Port Canaveral, CocoCay and Nassau. It illustrates a practical distinction: calling at a Florida port does not make that port the embarkation point. Use the first and final rows of the booked itinerary when arranging travel to and from the ship.

For accommodation, combine the room's position with your intended use of the activity and evening spaces. A different category can change both the outlook and the route you follow each day. The technical reference explains the ship, while the named departure and exact cabin choice supply the context needed to plan a realistic holiday.
