Port reference

Philipsburg (St Maarten)

Philipsburg is the cruise gateway on the Dutch side of the island shared by Sint Maarten and Saint-Martin. Port St. Maarten handles passengers at the A.C. Wathey Cruise & Cargo Facilities at Point Blanche. Keep this destination distinct from Marigot's ferry facilities on the French side and from the island's other boat terminals. A reservation saying St Maarten does not by itself identify an excursion pickup or the correct place to join a ship.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

The cruise facilities include a passenger shopping area and transport options for onward visits. The operator identifies water taxi stops on Philipsburg's waterfront, including Captain Hodge Wharf, Walter Williams Jetty and Bobby's Marina. These are local connections rather than the berth of every cruise vessel. Check which landing a ticket uses and how the return connection works before boarding. Road taxis, pre-booked tour vehicles and water taxis have different meeting points and luggage arrangements.

Princess Juliana International Airport, SXM, publishes taxi and private transfer information for reaching Philipsburg's cruise port. The airport states that there is no direct public bus service from its terminal. Do not turn the existence of island minibuses into a guaranteed airport-to-cruise connection. Confirm the actual flight arrival point, booked vehicle and cruise reporting time. A general indicative road journey does not account for every traffic delay or boarding procedure.

No public passenger railway platform at the cruise quay is asserted here. If arriving via another island or a ferry terminal, arrange the separate connection to the A.C. Wathey passenger facilities. The cruise port's company address includes an office suite, but that office should not be treated as a universal passenger entrance. Use the berth and access instructions in the sailing documents and request assistance for the full route if needed.

Great Bay's waterfront and Philipsburg's town centre offer a local visit, with the courthouse and Front Street providing useful orientation. The French side is a different excursion plan, and a distant beach outing needs its own return margin. Choose the actual route rather than assuming that all island destinations are adjacent to the gangway. Water taxi operation and beach conditions should be checked for the day.

The official October 2026 calendar supports repeated Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Celebrity calls. Single appearances by other companies in that month's view are not treated as repeated service. The coordinate locates Philipsburg generally, not a particular cruise passenger doorway.
