Port reference

Basseterre (St Kitts)

Basseterre is St Kitts's capital and the setting for Port Zante's cruise passenger facilities. The operator describes two cruise piers near the plaza, with shopping, dining and onward transport in the passenger area. The individual pier and side still matter when locating the ship or an excursion. Keep the actual berth assignment rather than treating every marina, cargo berth or island landing as the same boarding destination.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

The current port schedule uses specific pier codes as well as entries marked anchorage, to be confirmed or Carambola. An outlying landing should not be substituted for Port Zante merely because both are on St Kitts. Where the ship tenders passengers ashore, confirm the landing and return procedure with the onboard team. The marina also operates separately from the cruise piers. A yacht booking or marina office address is not automatically a cruise check-in point.

Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport is St Kitts's airport gateway. Confirm the actual airport on the flight and arrange the road connection to the passenger facility assigned to the ship. A flight to Nevis requires a different onward itinerary, rather than a direct road journey to Basseterre. Keep the airport pickup, luggage requirements and cruise reporting time together when booking a transfer. No fixed airport-to-gangway duration is assumed.

St Kitts Scenic Railway is a sightseeing excursion, described by its operator as a combination of narrow-gauge train and road travel. It is not a public airport train or a passenger platform at the cruise terminal. If choosing that outing, confirm the actual coach pickup and the itinerary included for the cruise call. Other city and island tours likewise have their own meeting points. Ask about boarding assistance before selecting a vehicle or a route involving steps.

The Circus and Independence Square provide a central Basseterre visit beyond the port plaza. A wider island trip or beach outing requires its own route and return plan. Do not treat the shopping area's opening time as the ship's all-aboard deadline. Check where a taxi will collect passengers for the return and preserve time for the permitted passenger entrance, especially on days with several ships alongside.

The published 2026–27 schedule supports repeated calls by the linked brands. Some company labels incorrectly name an agent or another cruise line; assignments here follow the identifiable ships and the researched fleet records. The NGA coordinate represents Basseterre generally, not the door or gangway of a particular cruise pier.
