TUI Cruises (Mein Schiff)

TUI Cruises operates the Mein Schiff brand from Hamburg, Germany. The company was founded in 2008 as a joint venture between TUI AG and Royal Caribbean, with passenger operations beginning in 2009. Both shareholders hold equal stakes. This profile covers the nine current Mein Schiff vessels, rather than combining them with the five Hapag-Lloyd ships that also belong to the company. A corporate total of fourteen is therefore not the Mein Schiff fleet size.

The current fleet includes Mein Schiff 1 through 7, Relax and Flow. The numbered ships form the operator's Blue Motion grouping, while Relax and Flow introduce InTUItion. Flow was actually delivered in June 2026 and is listed in the current fleet. Earlier ships that once carried the names Mein Schiff 1 or 2 should not be confused with the present vessels. Compare a ship's permanent IMO identity and service history when using older travel accounts.

German is the passenger language and the onboard currency is the euro. The crew's working language is English, which does not change the language of the guest programme. The operator describes a relaxed clothing approach, with restaurant expectations for dinner. Travellers should check these practical conditions alongside the itinerary, especially when comparing a German-market product with primarily English-speaking lines.

Premium inclusions apply across PRO, PLUS and PUR fares. They cover a selection of meals and branded drinks, gratuities and use of designated sauna and fitness facilities, among other services. That broad coverage still has boundaries: specialty dining, personal spa treatments and other extras need their own terms. Included access to a wellness area is different from an unlimited allowance for treatments. The same distinction applies to an available restaurant and the specific menu included in a booking.

The fare model also separates room choice from the basic onboard offering. PRO allows selecting an available category and cabin number. PLUS and PUR offer allocation within their applicable categories, subject to availability, and the fares differ in additional benefits and flexibility. Review the actual conditions before treating a lower headline price as an otherwise identical booking. Internet arrangements likewise vary and should not be described as unlimited for every guest.

The line offers entertainment, childcare and themed voyages, but the relevant facilities remain ship-specific. A family can compare the layout and programme with a couple's preference for quiet spaces without assuming either has one compulsory way to cruise. Suite areas add another category-dependent consideration. A useful comparison combines the individual ship, room, route and fare, keeping optional services distinct from the general promise of a premium inclusive holiday.
