Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik's main cruise passenger port is in Gruž, away from the walled Old City. A sailing labelled Dubrovnik therefore does not automatically place the gangway beside the historic streets. Establish whether the call uses a quay or an anchorage before arranging a meeting point. The ship's passenger instructions determine the actual boarding and return route.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

The port authority documents passenger facilities and publishes berth assignments in its cruise programme. The current workbook includes numbered Gruž berths and Gruž anchorage. These are different operating arrangements: a tender call should not be presented as guaranteed direct quay access. Nor should an old-city sightseeing boat departure point replace the ship's assigned cruise entrance. Terminal or administrative contact information alone is not a universal passenger check-in address.

Dubrovnik Airport connects with the city and Gruž's main bus station through the published airport-shuttle arrangements. The port operator directs passengers to the current timetable and stops. A bus-station arrival remains distinct from the actual cruise berth, even within the same district. Plan the last walk or transfer with luggage and the sailing's check-in deadline in mind. No fixed airport-to-gangway time is promised.

For a journey involving rail elsewhere in the region, arrange the onward road or sea connection to Dubrovnik rather than expecting a railway platform at the cruise terminal. Local transport between Gruž and Pile serves access to the Old City area. Consult the current Libertas timetable and confirm the stop suitable for your ship's permitted port exit. A city bus and a cruise-line shuttle can have different conditions.

The historic Old City is a separate visit from the working port. The authority describes both walking and bus options, but summer heat, walking ability and traffic influence the practical choice. Choose the return route before filling the available shore time. Seeing a landmark or harbour on a map does not establish a short permitted path through restricted port space.

The authority's 2026 workbook contains repeated MSC, Costa, Viking Ocean, Norwegian, Celebrity, Marella and TUI Cruises entries. These support the regular links; individual future bookings can change. Provisional vessel labels and a single advertised call are not treated as proof of a regular new deployment. The coordinate is Dubrovnik's general official location, not a particular cruise entrance.
