Costa Crociere
Costa Crociere is the Genoa-based Italian cruise brand within Carnival Corporation Ltd. Its passenger-line history begins in 1948, when Anna C sailed from Genoa towards South America. That starting point should be distinguished from the Costa family's earlier trading business. The present holiday product developed from passenger shipping into leisure cruising, rather than representing an unchanged transatlantic liner service.

The checked active fleet contains eight ships. Costa Fortuna left in September 2026 and is excluded even where an older booking page remains online. Costa Serena is still represented in the operator's winter 2026–2027 programme, so it is not removed merely because other ships have changed hands. For a meaningful comparison, identify the vessel and the departure as well as the company name.
The fleet spans different scales and layouts. Smeralda and Toscana belong to a later LNG design, while Deliziosa and the other vessels provide different combinations of accommodation, public rooms and outside space. A feature on one ship is not a fleet-wide entitlement. Compare the individual deck arrangement and the proposed room location before using a general Costa description to choose a cabin.
Costa's Sea Destinations programme adds scheduled experiences at sea to the port itinerary. The operator describes moments associated with particular locations, including dawn, sunsets or evening activities. These are different from a landed shore excursion. Look at the sailing-specific programme and understand where the ship remains at sea, rather than counting every named Sea Destination as another town visited ashore.
The brand serves an international passenger audience. Published guest information identifies Italian, English, French, Spanish and German among the service languages. Staffing, activities and excursions still need confirmation for a particular departure when language is essential. A translated website alone does not tell you the language of every tour or every live programme.
Families should examine the age-based arrangements: Squok Club serves children from three to eleven, with a separate teen programme. Younger children's use of the baby area requires an accompanying adult under the published guidance. These distinctions matter more than a general claim of family friendliness. Finally, compare what the booked fare actually includes, especially paid dining, drinks and experiences. Check the onboard account currency for the itinerary separately from the currency used to purchase the holiday; no single universal fleet currency is asserted here.
