About us Costa Fascinosa

Costa Fascinosa joined Costa's fleet in 2012 after construction at Fincantieri in Marghera. The original handover announcement describes its delivery in Venice on 5 May. Costa Favolosa is the sister identified in that announcement; neither ship should be confused with the much larger Diadema. Current insurance identifies Fascinosa through IMO 9479864 and records 113,321 GT rather than the rounded tonnage used at delivery.

Joseph Farcus organised the interiors around cinema and theatre. Names such as Amarcord Atrium, Bel Ami Theatre and Blue Velvet Piano Bar make that theme visible in the layout. A traveller interested in evening entertainment can compare a theatre performance with the smaller piano-bar setting. Actual performances depend on the sailing programme, so a named room is a location to investigate rather than a guarantee of a particular show.

The builder singles out the aft Via col Vento lido and the Blue Moon pool area. Blue Moon has a movable glazed roof, providing a different arrangement from an entirely open pool deck. Roof operation remains subject to conditions and the operator's decisions. An aft outdoor space also has different exposure from a sheltered central area; inspect where you would actually spend a sea day instead of treating every pool as equivalent.

Costa's 2025 fleet reference records a 2024 refurbishment and lists Teppanyaki and Sunset Bar as additions from November 2024. Archipelago, Sushino and Pummid'Oro supply other separately priced dining choices. The same reference distinguishes speciality restaurants from included meal venues. Compare those conditions with the booked fare and any package rather than assuming every dining room belongs to one allowance.

Technical dimensions are 290.2 metres length and 35.5 metres moulded breadth. Operator references separate 2,984 lower berths from 3,800 maximum guests and list 1,110 crew. Seventeen total decks must not be confused with thirteen guest-use decks in an older reference. Room totals remain unresolved: the current fleet presentation prints 1,580 while the careers table and older technical brochure use 1,508. The record preserves that disagreement instead of silently selecting a convenient figure. Diesel-electric machinery is documented by the builder; conflicting maximum-speed references are left open.
