Port reference

Valencia

Valencia is a western Mediterranean cruise port where the passenger terminal and the berth named by your operator need to be read together. Valenciaport's2026 infrastructure information places cruise services at the Trasmed passenger terminal, beside the Poniente and Transversal docks near the port entrance. This is a more useful starting point than a general pin inside the extensive commercial harbour.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

The terminal address is Muelle de Poniente, without a street number. Establish whether your cruise documents direct you there for check-in and baggage delivery or specify another meeting arrangement. Ferry departures also use passenger infrastructure in the port, so follow the cruise company, ship and departure date rather than treating all passenger counters as interchangeable.

MSC's own Valencia directions tell embarking guests to complete check-in at Terminal de Pasajeros Trasmed and follow its arranged onward access to the cruise pier. The port authority describes adjacent cruise berths, so this profile does not impose the same internal journey or distance on every ship. The actual operator's latest instructions determine the procedure for your sailing.

Valencia Airport connects with the city by Metrovalencia lines3 and5, according to Aena. An airport-to-city metro connection does not remove the final journey to the passenger entrance. A taxi or confirmed transfer can also form part of the plan. Check the whole route and current transport information before combining a flight arrival with an assigned boarding window.

Joaquín Sorolla and Estació del Nord are the city's principal rail arrival points, with different services. Check the station printed on your ticket and arrange the onward port connection from that location. A convenient connection into central Valencia is not a direct railway service to the cruise check-in building.

The authority's dated2026 call forecast includes repeated MSC, Costa, Norwegian and Marella visits. A call does not itself establish that a new passenger can embark in Valencia, so distinguish a port day from a partial turnaround or departure. The City of Arts and Sciences, Oceanogràfic and historic centre offer different shore-visit options once return transport is accounted for. The coordinate is the NGA general port reference, not a terminal doorway.
