Port reference

Málaga

Málaga's cruise facilities occupy different parts of the port beside the Andalusian city. Terminals A and B serve the Levante area, while El Palmeral is at quay2 beside the port-city waterfront. This distinction is useful before choosing a transfer: advice for a small vessel close to the city does not automatically apply to a large ship farther out on the breakwater.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

For the Levante terminals, the port authority describes road access through Paseo de la Farola and Paseo de Levante. Other operational areas use different approaches, including San Andrés. Enter the terminal named in your sailing documents rather than using an authority office or a generic port map pin as your passenger destination.

Málaga-Costa del Sol is the city's international airport. The terminal operator describes taxi connections and city-side public transport, including the C1 rail line and airport busA. These city links require another leg to the ship. Confirm the whole route with your luggage and boarding window in mind instead of assuming the airport train continues inside the cruise terminal.

Málaga-María Zambrano is the main longer-distance railway arrival point identified by the port. El Palmeral and the Levante buildings have different onward journeys from there. A rail-station distance quoted for the general harbour area cannot establish the actual distance to your assigned passenger entrance. A confirmed taxi or booked transfer can avoid relying on an unsuitable luggage walk.

The authority describes a bus link between the Levante terminals and the Plaza de la Marina pedestrian entrance when a cruise ship is docked there. Verify the current service and any separate ship shuttle before relying on it. The terminal's published forward schedule records repeated MSC, Marella, Costa and Viking visits, with additional brands appearing across the season. Future requested calls remain subject to operational changes.

The city offers the Alcazaba, Roman theatre and cathedral as distinct shore-visit themes. Match a visit to the time remaining after disembarkation and the return transfer, especially if your ship is at Levante rather than El Palmeral. Málaga may be your departure point or a transit visit; the booking determines which procedures apply. The stored coordinate is the official general Málaga location reference, not a cruise-terminal doorway.
