Port reference

Savona

Savona is a Ligurian cruise departure port with the Palacrociere passenger complex beside the historic city. It is a different embarkation point from Genoa, although Genoa Airport serves cruise passengers travelling to both places. Check which port your booking names before reserving a transfer or choosing accommodation near a regional transport hub.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

Palacrociere was created in2003 and is operated within the Costa organisation. Its terminal spaces serve cruise check-in, luggage handling and passenger access rather than the visitor marina as a whole. Follow the assigned building and boarding window in your current documents. The existence of a harbour-side pedestrian connection does not make every quay publicly accessible.

Savona railway station has onward options to the terminal. The terminal operator describes a walking route as well as taxis and local buses, with current timetables supplied by TPL Linea. Decide whether the walk suits your luggage and mobility instead of assuming that a train arrival completes the journey. The station and terminal are separate destinations even within this relatively compact city.

For a flight arrival, Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport is the regional connection described by the airport and terminal. Continue towards Savona by an appropriate road transfer or a planned combination of airport-city transport and rail. Nice is another airport mentioned in the terminal's directions, but it requires a longer onward journey. An airport listed as an option is not a promise of a convenient flight on your travel date.

The port's own parking product is within the Palacrociere area and requires a reservation according to its passenger information. Independent parking products may have different receptions and shuttles. Check the exact address and luggage arrangements for the product you actually book rather than applying one provider's instructions to another.

Costa's published Savona programme establishes regular departures. A passenger schedule remains subject to changes, so use the cruise company's latest instructions before travelling. The historic centre, Priamar fortress and Teatro Chiabrera offer distinct local visit possibilities. Fit any visit around check-in, luggage and the return route instead of adding it automatically to embarkation day. The coordinate is the location reference published directly by Palacrociere; it is more relevant to this passenger complex than a general regional port coordinate.

Getting there

Airport connections

Genoa Airport serves Savona cruise departures but needs a separate onward transfer. Compare a confirmed road connection with airport-city transport plus rail. Nice requires a longer onward journey.

Rail connections

From Savona station use a suitable walk, taxi or local bus. The terminal links TPL Linea for current bus timetables; check the assigned entrance before departing.

Local transport and final connection

The terminal describes a pedestrian connection with the historic centre. Parking inside Palacrociere requires a reservation; independent parking may use separate shuttles.
