Vieux-Port cruise landing
Cruise tender operations in the Old Port; follow the ship-specific landing instructions.
Port reference
Cannes is a French Riviera cruise destination centred on the Vieux-Port waterfront. Cruise passengers using tenders arrive through the Old Port rather than a railway station or an airport terminal. Keep the ship's landing instructions with you, because the return boat meeting point determines the practical end of an independent visit. A marina reception address is not automatically the cruise passenger entrance.
Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.
The city identifies IGY's Marina du Vieux-Port de Cannes as the port operator. Its published port conditions explicitly recognise cruise tendering operations. The harbour also handles leisure yachts and ferries to the Lérins islands. Those island ferries are separate services, with their own tickets and departure points. They should not be confused with the transfer boat returning passengers to a cruise ship offshore.
Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is the relevant regional air gateway. Its current rail-access guidance describes tram connections between the airport terminals and Grand Arénas, followed by access to Nice Saint-Augustin station. Continue by the appropriate train towards Cannes, then plan the final city-to-port segment. This is a sequence of connections, not a train from the airport to a ship's gangway.
Cannes railway station is a useful city arrival point. Confirm that a ticket and route refer to the central station rather than another station in the wider Cannes area. With luggage or reduced mobility, assess the full onward route and arrange appropriate assistance. For a tender call, the ship's advice on boarding small boats matters as much as the city walking distance.
Le Suquet provides the historic hillside setting above the Old Port. La Croisette offers a different waterfront walk, while the Lérins islands require a separate boat excursion. Choose an outing that leaves room for the return tender queue and the stated last boat. Harbour redevelopment descriptions refer to an ongoing project and do not establish that every proposed passenger facility is already open.
MSC's published summer 2026 programme includes Cannes in MSC Grandiosa's repeating Mediterranean route. It supports the regular brand connection rather than an inference from a single visit or a corporate logo. Individual calls and landing arrangements can change. The official coordinate locates Cannes generally, not the assigned tender pontoon.
