About us Costa Deliziosa
Costa Deliziosa entered service in 2010 after construction at Fincantieri's Marghera yard. An original delivery announcement places handover in January 2010, resolving a product summary that instead shows 2009. The individual insurer identifies the current vessel as IMO 9398917 with Italian registry. This distinction matters when comparing delivery dates and first passenger voyages across the fleet.
Its interior has an art collection that includes Sfera by Arnaldo Pomodoro. The attribution comes from Costa's own description, rather than from transferring a sculpture associated with another ship. Murano glass and polished decorative surfaces form part of the operator's account of the interior. Those details give Deliziosa a more specific identity than its size alone or an uncertain class label.
Duse Theatre is a principal performance space. Excite Piano Bar offers another evening environment, and Atrio delle Delizie supplies a central meeting place. A theatre programme and a piano bar need not suit the same evening. Check daily schedules and the position of a proposed cabin when access to a particular lounge matters. A larger room category does not itself establish a quieter location.
The current fleet reference lists Archipelago, Sushino and Pummid'Oro among dining choices alongside regular restaurants. Decide which meals need a separate booking and compare the actual fare conditions. Published dining names can change after a refurbishment, so an old brochure should not be treated as a guarantee of today's restaurant arrangement. The operator records a 2024 refurbishment in its subsequent fleet deck reference.
Deliziosa also appears in Costa's world-cruise programme. The voyage marketed for 2027 is scheduled to leave Savona in November 2026; at this review date that departure is still in the future. It is not evidence of a completed circumnavigation. For technical comparison, current insurance records 92,720 GT. The builder gives 294 metres length and 32.3 metres moulded breadth, with diesel-electric machinery and pod propulsion. The operator distinguishes 2,260 lower berths from 2,826 maximum guests, across 1,130 rooms. Current crew and deck references use 934 and seventeen respectively, rather than repeating older inventories.
