About us Costa Favolosa

Costa Favolosa was delivered by Fincantieri's Marghera yard in 2011. The builder describes a design intended to suggest an imagined palace, with decorative details and public rooms forming the ship's identity. Its sister Costa Fascinosa arrived the following year with a separate cinema theme. Similar dimensions do not mean that their atrium, lounge names or later restaurant arrangements can be exchanged.

Atrio dei Diamanti is a useful central reference point. Hortensia Theatre provides the main multi-level performance space, while Camelot Piano Bar and Pompadour Ballroom identify different evening settings. This range helps explain how a night can move between a scheduled show, live music and dancing. It does not promise that every activity operates every evening, so consult the programme for the particular voyage.

The pool arrangement includes a covered option at Lido dell'Ondina and outdoor space at Lido di Porpora. A retractable roof changes how an area is sheltered, but it does not establish that a pool will always be warm or available. Families should examine the separate children's facilities and age groups. A pirate-ship play feature or slide is not equivalent to supervised access for every age.

Costa's fleet reference records a 2022 refurbishment. Current listed speciality choices include Archipelago, Teppanyaki, Sushino and Pummid'Oro, with Sunset Bar among the bar settings. These offerings should be checked against fare inclusions and booking conditions. An earlier brochure with a different restaurant total may reflect a different arrangement rather than an additional set of venues still operating today. Future refurbishment plans are not counted as completed work.

Current insurance lists 113,307 GT and IMO 9479852 under Genoa registry. That individual entry differs from both the builder's larger rounded specification and the older MICE brochure's 113,216 GT. Length is 290.2 metres and moulded breadth 35.5 metres. Operator records agree on 1,508 rooms and distinguish 2,984 lower berths from 3,800 maximum guests. Crew is recorded as 1,110, with seventeen total decks. Original yard machinery is diesel-electric. Published maximum speeds disagree, so that field remains empty rather than borrowing Fascinosa's number or treating service speed as a maximum.
