About us Costa Toscana

Costa Toscana was delivered at Turku on 2 December 2021 and began its first passenger cruise from Savona in March 2022. The individual yard release separates delivery from the planned first sailing. A careers table that labels the ship as built in 2019 contains a copy error; that is Smeralda's year and is not adopted for Toscana. Use IMO 9781891 to identify the present vessel.

Its design takes Tuscany as the organising theme for public rooms and accommodation decks. Colosseo provides a central show lounge, while Poltrona Frau Arena supplies a separate theatre setting. Piazza del Campo is an outdoor stern arena. These named spaces are more useful for understanding the ship than a generic description of a large Costa vessel, particularly when comparing where evening activity sits relative to a proposed room.

Volare Skywalk adds an elevated viewpoint, with La Spiaggia and the outside pool areas giving other ways to spend a sea day. A guest can choose between a scheduled event, a walk and a quieter stop, using the actual programme and weather. A promenade or public viewpoint does not determine the view from every balcony; inspect the individual accommodation position when that matters.

Archipelago is one of the ship's speciality dining choices. Other restaurants and casual food settings provide different meal rhythms. Compare inclusions and any reservation charge for the actual fare, without assuming that a restaurant shared with Smeralda has the same layout or capacity. Family facilities likewise need to be considered through their age groups and conditions, rather than through the ship's maximum guest number alone.

Current insurance and the operator's individual technical brochure agree on 186,364 GT, whereas a builder summary repeats 185,010. Technical length is 337 metres and moulded breadth 42 metres. The 6,730 total guest beds are separately supported by the original delivery release and operator references. Lower-berth and room inventories are not reconciled across the available sources and remain empty. Crew is recorded as 1,646 in both the individual delivery facts and current careers table. LNG/MGO dual-fuel operation is documented, with no claim of an emission-free voyage or an unverified completed refurbishment.
