About us Mein Schiff 1

The current Mein Schiff 1 joined the fleet in 2018 as a new vessel from Meyer Turku in Finland. Its identity is IMO 9783564 and it sails under Malta's flag. Older accounts of a previous Mein Schiff 1 describe a different ship and should not be used to establish this vessel's construction history. Current builder, Hamburg port and technical records support 111554 gross tons.

The extended design gives the ship a strong connection with activity and open space. Its running track and covered Arena were highlighted by the builder, alongside the familiar 25-metre outdoor pool. Think about how much time you want for exercise between visits ashore. The location of a room in relation to the upper decks can matter as much as its broad category, particularly for passengers who expect to move between several parts of the ship each day.

Schaubühne offers another setting for talks and performances, while the glazed stern creates a different place to spend time near the sea. A particular venue should be matched with the actual voyage programme. Its presence does not guarantee a specific act, a fixed timetable or an identical atmosphere on every sailing. Suite facilities should likewise be assessed through the entitlement of the booked category.

The completed Hamburg yard programme in spring 2023 brought a distinct update to Ebbe & Flut Bier Bar, with an industrial interior using wood and copper elements. The operator also documents a new gallery area and improvements to shore-excursion and travel-advice spaces. These are concrete public-area changes; they are not evidence that every cabin was reconstructed. Maintenance, wastewater-system work and a shore-power connection formed separate technical parts of the same visit.

Current operator technical answers give 1447 cabins and sixteen decks, with 2894 guests defined as double occupancy in individual published material. Length is retained at 315.7 metres using operator and current technical agreement, while a conflicting 317.5 on the builder website is documented. Moulded breadth is 35.8 metres. Maximum guest capacity, exact crew, maximum speed and the detailed current machinery description remain open. The 2023 refurbishment is the latest completed work verified here, rather than an inferred date taken from an older namesake.
