About us Mein Schiff 3

Mein Schiff 3 became TUI Cruises' first purpose-built ship in 2014. It was constructed at STX Finland's Turku yard, the facility later known as Meyer Turku. The original yard identity is retained rather than applying its later company name retrospectively. IMO 9641730 identifies the current Maltese-flagged vessel. The designer, builder reference and current technical particulars agree on 99526 gross tons.

At the review date, an operational interruption is important for anyone reading the profile. Following the incident while leaving Bremerhaven on 25 October 2026, the operator announced cancellation of the current Canary Islands voyage and the need for yard repairs. Its update did not establish the effect on subsequent voyages. Fleet membership is therefore not a guarantee that the ship is presently carrying guests on its published itinerary. Consult the operator's current notice for the booked departure.

That interruption is separate from the completed Rotterdam refurbishment in spring 2026. The ship had returned to guest service in April after that planned work. The operator's subsequent account describes changes to themed suites, public areas, entertainment systems and the Café Lounge concept. Those completed improvements are not evidence that the later collision repairs have already finished. The two events have different dates and purposes.

The Klanghaus concert space and the glazed Diamant area are distinctive parts of the original design. They give music and time near the sea different settings within the same ship. Compare the dated programme and the actual room plan if a particular performance or convenient route matters. A concert venue does not promise a specific artist on every sailing, and a suite's access benefits should be read through its booking category.

Current operator technical answers give 1253 cabins and fifteen decks. Passenger material explicitly defines 2506 guests on a two-bed basis, rather than as maximum capacity. The designer's overall length is 293.2 metres and moulded breadth 35.8 metres; the operator's 293.3-metre length is a small published difference. Exact crew, maximum passengers, maximum speed and detailed current machinery remain unresolved. The profile preserves the completed 2026 work while making the later temporary disruption explicit, without inferring a new retirement or a confirmed date of return.
