Helsinki

Helsinki's international cruise calls use several quays rather than a single city passenger terminal. Hernesaari is an important cruise area, while smaller or differently assigned ships can use South Harbour and Katajanokka. The actual berth code matters for a transfer. Read the call information alongside the cruise documents before selecting a drop-off point.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

The Port of Helsinki identifies LHB and LHC at Hernematalankatu 6, and LHD at Hernesaarenranta 15. These addresses should not be exchanged simply because they share the Hernesaari name. At Katajanokka, ERA and EKL have their own locations. A ferry terminal bearing a nearby district's name is not automatically the ocean cruise passenger entrance. The Hernesaari turnaround hall also has a different role from West Terminal 2's regular ferry operations.

Helsinki Airport has HSL I and P train connections with the city. Use the journey planner for the onward connection to the assigned cruise berth. Arriving at Helsinki's main railway station does not complete the journey to Hernesaari. Check the final stop, luggage handling and permitted pedestrian route rather than calculating a transfer from airport rail time alone.

The port's Finnish and English berth guides contain differing tram descriptions. For that reason, this profile does not promise one tram number as the universal current link. Consult HSL for the actual travel date and use the official quay address. This is especially useful when returning independently to a ship at a berth different from the terminal used on a previous visit.

Market Square lies beside South Harbour at the end of Esplanade Park and offers a central city visiting area. Its position does not put it immediately outside every cruise ship. Plan the return connection before spending the available shore time in the centre. A visit to a market and a transfer through an operating port are different parts of the day.

The authority's actual 2026 call records show repeated AIDA, TUI Cruises and Princess visits. They support the regular links without treating an agent's company name as a cruise brand. The same page also carries future schedules, which remain provisional. The coordinate here is the official general Helsinki location, not any quay's passenger gate.

HSL trains I/P link Helsinki Airport with the city; plan the separate last leg to the assigned quay.

Helsinki main station is a city interchange, followed by the berth-specific transfer.

Local transport and final connection

Use HSL current journey planning and the actual berth address; ferry terminals are separate destinations.
