Port reference

Flåm

Flåm sits at the inner end of the Aurlandsfjord, a branch of the Sognefjord in western Norway. Its cruise quay serves a small village surrounded by steep terrain, not a large airport city. The harbour authority's arrival page and the railway station are useful planning references, but each service retains its own boarding arrangements. Confirm the ship's passenger route before setting off on a separate excursion.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

The authority identifies Flåm Cruisekai in its published arrival data. Use that actual quay assignment for a pickup rather than the port's postal-office address alone. Cruise operations and local boats share the wider waterfront, so the nearest visible boarding point may belong to a different service. Keep your cruise documents and return instructions available during a shore visit.

The Flåm Railway provides a genuine rail connection here. Bane NOR identifies Flåm station and onward links via Myrdal, while Vy explains that travellers from Bergen change trains at Myrdal. This is not a direct airport-to-gangway train. A flight into Bergen needs its own airport-to-city connection, the mainline journey and the Flåm Railway leg, followed by the short local approach appropriate to the assigned passenger exit.

Check availability and the actual return service before buying a railway excursion. A panoramic ride and a transport connection can use the same line without being the same ticket product. Bane NOR also lists local bus connections towards Aurland, Lærdal and Gudvangen. Their timetables and seasonal boat services should be checked for your date rather than assumed to run whenever a cruise ship arrives.

The railway museum is a different visit from travelling the mountain railway itself. Stegastein viewpoint is another excursion with its own onward transport; it is not a flat village-waterfront stop. The harbour's listed fjord and village activities provide several possibilities, but combine them only when their return times fit the ship's instructions.

The forward arrival data reviewed here primarily covers2027 and shows repeated MSC, AIDA, P&O Cruises, TUI Cruises and Celebrity visits. Those reservations remain provisional and are not evidence of completed2026 calls. The coordinate is the general official Flåm location, not the terminal door.
