Port reference

Olden

Olden is a village cruise destination in inner Nordfjord, with access to the Oldedalen valley rather than a large city terminal district. The port authority identifies an established cruise quay and a separate tender landing at Olden Cruise Park. These are different passenger arrangements. Confirm which one applies to your ship before booking a meeting point or deciding how much time an independent excursion leaves ashore.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

Loen also has a tender landing near the Skylift, but it is a separate destination and should not be presented as the same village landing. The wider Nordfjord port network includes Måløy and Sandane as well. A port-wide cruise total or a ship's regional booking does not automatically identify its Olden quay.

Keep the actual berth and passenger instructions with you during a shore visit. At a direct quay call the return is to the assigned entrance, while a tender call also depends on the final return boat. An advertised sailing time is not a substitute for the passenger's all-aboard deadline. Confirm an accessible transfer against the actual landing method rather than assuming that every arrival has a level gangway to shore.

Sandane Airport is one of the region's air gateways. Regional tourism guidance describes road and public-transport approaches to Nordfjord, but the airport and Olden are separate places. A flight-based trip needs a confirmed onward transfer, including any relevant ferry or bus connection. No direct airport-to-cruise shuttle or passenger-rail arrival in Olden is verified here.

The village's old and newer churches offer a local visit distinct from the valley journey. Briksdal lies farther into Oldedalen and needs its own transport and walking plan. Loen Skylift is another separate excursion. Choose activities whose outward and return arrangements fit the ship's call; views visible during the approach do not imply that each attraction is next to the cruise quay.

Repeated published P&O Cruises itineraries establish a regular link with Olden, including consecutive2027 Iona programmes. Other operators may visit, but the cross-reference here is limited to the recurring programme independently confirmed in this pass. Future calls remain provisional. The coordinate is the general official Olden location, not a terminal entrance.
