Port reference

Oslo

Oslo brings cruise passengers into Norway's capital at the inner end of the Oslofjord. The port authority identifies Revierkaia as its main cruise quay and Filipstad as another cruise location. They sit on different parts of the waterfront, so an arrival plan should start with the assigned quay rather than a generic city-port address. The current booking list uses REV and FIL as their respective abbreviations.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

Revierkaia and Filipstad have separate approaches and should remain separate destinations in a taxi request. A terminal name from an older itinerary is not enough to establish the berth for a new sailing. Use the port list together with your cruise documents, especially when boarding with luggage or meeting a pre-booked vehicle.

The authority explains that central quays can be open at other times but become restricted while a cruise ship is alongside. Passenger access is therefore controlled by the arrangements for that call. A waterfront promenade is not a substitute for the approved boarding entrance. Arrange assistance against the actual ship and quay instead of assuming unrestricted vehicle access.

Oslo Airport Gardermoen connects with the city by Flytoget and Vy trains as well as buses. These are airport-to-city services, not rail services into a cruise terminal. Choose a convenient city station for the confirmed quay and complete the last leg on foot, by local transport or with a suitable road transfer. Confirm the current ticket and route rather than relying on a fixed fare here.

The Opera House and MUNCH are in the Bjørvika waterfront area. Akershus Fortress is another central attraction, while the Fram Museum is on Bygdøy and needs its own onward journey. A harbour view does not make all these places adjacent to the ship. Select a realistic shore-day route that includes the return to the correct passenger entrance.

The authority's booking list updated23 October2026 records recurring AIDA, TUI Cruises, MSC, Viking and Holland America visits. Planned calls are subject to change, and overnight visits should not be counted as two independent calls. The coordinate is the general official Oslo location rather than the Revierkaia or Filipstad terminal entrance.
