Port reference

Santa Cruz de La Palma

Santa Cruz de La Palma is the cruise port on the eastern side of La Palma. It is not Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and La Palma is not Palma on Mallorca. Confirm the island as well as the city name when choosing a flight or onward transfer. The port authority's own visitor guide identifies this harbour as a gateway to both the historic capital and the wider island.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

The passenger terminal and assigned quay form part of a working port. Use the sailing's actual entrance and meeting point rather than directing a driver to whichever ship is visible. The authority's published cruise-operation protocol separates organised cruise vehicles from other taxis and accessible vehicles, illustrating why a generic promise of unrestricted ship-side pickup would be misleading. Current port and ship instructions govern the day's arrangement.

La Palma Airport is the relevant airport. Aena identifies bus500 between the airport, Los Cancajos and Santa Cruz de La Palma. The city bus connection still needs its final passenger-terminal approach. Select the stop appropriate to your ship and luggage, or arrange a confirmed road transfer to the permitted meeting point. No fixed fare or guaranteed airport-to-gangway time is assumed here.

For local travel, use the island's bus and road network. No passenger-rail approach to the cruise terminal is established by the sources used here. A journey across La Palma should be planned as an island excursion, not an extension of a short city walk. Mountain viewpoints and walking routes require their own transport and realistic return margin.

The historic centre, Plaza de España and El Salvador church offer a city-focused shore day. The Naval Museum is another distinct visitor destination. Choose the combination that fits the available time and opening arrangements rather than trying to treat every island highlight as adjacent to the harbour.

Unique records in the authority's November and December2026 calendar support repeated AIDA, TUI Cruises, P&O Cruises, Marella, MSC and Windstar visits. They are planned calls and do not all offer embarkation. The coordinate is the general official city reference, not the terminal entrance.
