La Estaca is the maritime gateway on El Hierro, within the municipality of Valverde. The harbour and the inland capital should not be treated as the same arrival point. Cruise passengers need the actual port meeting place, while a visit to Valverde involves an onward journey. Confirm the island and harbour name when arranging a vehicle or a connection with another passenger service.

The port authority identifies La Estaca separately from its facilities on Tenerife, La Palma and La Gomera. The harbour also serves inter-island transport. A ferry-terminal instruction therefore does not automatically specify the boarding route for an ocean cruise. Use the ship's assigned passenger approach and confirm the permitted pickup point before booking a private transfer.

The authority's published cruise-operation document demonstrates that cruise movements are organised within the wider port. Follow the current port and ship directions rather than assuming unrestricted vehicle access beside every berth. If assistance is needed, arrange it against the actual landing and vessel. The departure time in a general call list is not a substitute for your personal boarding deadline.

El Hierro Airport connects to Valverde by bus10, according to Aena and TransHierro. The operator identifies bus11 as the separate connection between Valverde and the maritime station at La Estaca. An airport journey by public transport thus needs both the correct service and an actual connection, followed by the cruise-passenger approach. It is not described here as a single direct airport-to-ship bus.

No passenger-rail arrival at the harbour is established by the sources used here. For exploring the island, plan with the current bus or road network. Valverde's historic quarter, La Peña viewpoint and the Guinea Ecomuseum are different destinations. They require their own transport arrangements and should not all be described as a short walk from the quay.
