Seabourn
Seabourn operates luxury ocean and expedition cruises within Carnival Corporation. Its headquarters are in Seattle. The company dates its first sailings as The Yachts of Seabourn to 1988, the passenger milestone behind its planned fortieth-anniversary programme in 2028. That service history is distinguished from the incorporation date of any current legal subsidiary.

The current fleet consists of five ships. Quest, Encore and Ovation operate the ocean selection; Venture and Pursuit form the purpose-built expedition pair. The group's August 2026 fleet list confirms these five names. Former ships do not remain current merely because older voyage pages are still searchable. In particular, Sojourn has left, and its subsequent ownership and naming belong to a different operator's history.
Ocean and expedition products have different practical priorities. An ocean itinerary combines accommodation, restaurants and scheduled port calls. Expedition travel adds specialist activities and the constraints of remote destinations. Compare the actual departure, landing arrangements and activity requirements rather than assuming a brand-wide programme is identical across regions. A polar voyage and a conventional Mediterranean sailing should not be planned as interchangeable holidays.
Seabourn's accommodation is marketed as suites, but layouts and outdoor space vary between ships and categories. Look at the individual deck plan, room position and confirmed features. The smaller Quest has a different arrangement from Encore and Ovation. Quest's completed June 2026 refurbishment also makes older photographs and walkthroughs dated references rather than a complete account of its current interiors.
Restaurant dining, selected drinks and entertainment are among the published inclusions. Optional purchases are handled through a shipboard account in US dollars. The currency used for a regional cruise booking is a separate issue. Read the applicable fare and reservation details for optional services rather than assuming every purchase or activity is included.
The excursion programme is designed around English-speaking guides. Private touring in other languages can be arranged where available; that is not a promise of every language on every departure. Check the actual tour description and access requirements. Choose ship, route and accommodation together, then align transport and shore plans with the departure's confirmed timings. An attractive destination list alone does not describe how much time or independent access each call provides.
