About us Seabourn Ovation
Seabourn Ovation was built at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente yard in Genoa and delivered on 27 April 2018. Its first voyage departed Venice on 5 May. Elaine Paige named the ship in Valletta on 11 May during that inaugural journey. The ceremony therefore followed the first passenger departure rather than establishing a later service year.
Ovation is Encore's sister ship, offering 300 suites with private verandas. The operator's design explanation expressly defines 600 guests at double occupancy of lower berths. That is the capacity basis used here. It is separate from the shipbuilder's maximum total persons on board, which cannot be copied into a passenger-only field. Cabin numbers and passenger figures answer different questions.
The individual builder specification gives 210 metres overall length, 28 metres moulded beam and diesel-electric machinery with four Wärtsilä generating sets. It identifies maximum speed separately from routine service speed. Current insurance data matches the permanent IMO to gross tonnage of 41865 and Nassau registry. Figures from launch publicity should not automatically override those more specific present-day particulars.
Suites vary in layout and outdoor area despite sharing verandas. Compare the actual accommodation category and location, especially the public spaces above and below it. A ship diagram supports an informed position choice, but cannot guarantee silence or an identical experience between rooms. The reserved description remains the reference for features and benefits.
The published onboard selection includes Seabourn Square, a sun terrace, fitness facilities, spa and Retreat. Optional wellness or private-area arrangements need to be checked separately from the general cruise inclusions. A shared venue name is not a guarantee of unrestricted access or identical booking conditions.
Seabourn's August 2026 announcement assigns particular Atlantic contributors to selected Ovation departures. This is a dated enrichment programme, not a permanent guest list for all voyages. Check the actual sailing and port schedule when weighing time aboard against independent sightseeing. Similar hardware to Encore does not make the two ships' current deployments interchangeable.

A dash means no independently verified value is available. Guest counts at double occupancy and maximum capacity are different measures. GT measures enclosed volume, not weight.
