About us Seabourn Pursuit
Seabourn Pursuit entered service on 12 August 2023, the actual date stated on its current operator page. T. Mariotti delivered the vessel in Genoa on 31 July. It was the second purpose-built expedition ship for Seabourn, following Venture. Delivery and passenger introduction remain separate milestones rather than interchangeable definitions of a launch.
The ship's PC6 polar standard supports its expedition role across diverse environments. A polar design does not turn the vessel into a permanently Antarctic product. Its history includes an initial Mediterranean programme followed by more remote deployment. Choose the particular route and departure rather than assuming the ship's construction category determines every destination.
Pursuit's accommodation inventory comprises 132 veranda suites. Its launch information specifically identifies two-level Wintergarden accommodation among the options. Those layouts differ from a conventional single-level suite. Compare room configuration, balcony and practical access before selecting an accommodation category, particularly when stairs within a suite could affect how you use the space.
The current ship page lists 264 guests. That headline is retained as descriptive context; precise double occupancy and independently certified vessel maximum are separate questions. An expedition-team size is also different from the ship's total crew. Current individual insurance data matches IMO 9862035 with gross tonnage of 23615 and Nassau registry, providing an identity-specific technical reference.
The operator currently describes Zodiacs, kayaks and an expert expedition team. Daily participation depends on the actual activity and local arrangements. Review the published tour requirements and included versus optional experiences. A remote itinerary can involve a different rhythm from a conventional cruise, with briefings, small-boat transfers and time outdoors shaping the day.
For an informed comparison with Venture, begin with the available routes and actual travel dates. Sister ships may share a basic design while operating in different regions. Then compare the booked accommodation and the balance between days at sea and destination activities. Naming a distant region in a brochure does not describe its seasonal conditions or guarantee a specific landing. The detailed departure programme is the most useful starting point for practical planning.
