Oceania Cruises
Oceania Cruises is a Miami-headquartered cruise brand wholly owned by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. Its establishment is dated to 2002 in the port authority profile, while the operator's own history dates the opening of the Miami headquarters and first Regatta season to 2003. Those milestones distinguish business formation from the development of the passenger programme. The product places food, comfortable accommodation and time in destinations at the centre of the offer.

Today's passenger programme comprises seven active ships: Insignia, Nautica, Sirena, Marina, Riviera, Vista and Allura. Regatta moved to the distinct Explorations by Norwegian charter programme in September 2026, despite older corporate summaries still quoting eight ships. The ship directory also advertises future products, which require separate treatment. Sonata is physically under construction, with documented steel cutting and an August 2026 launch at Marghera. Aurelia is the planned late-2027 transformation of Nautica, not a ninth current ship or a separately constructed hull.
Insignia remains an Oceania vessel at the research date. Phoenix Reisen announced in October 2026 that the same ship will enter its programme as Alvara in November 2027 after planned work. This future transfer does not move it out of the current fleet early, and Alvara should not be added as a second active vessel with the same identity.
A significant booking policy changed on 7 January 2026. New reservations for future voyages are restricted to guests eighteen and over, while previously made bookings containing minors continue to be honoured. Calling every current sailing completely child-free would overlook that transition. The intended atmosphere is quiet, with cultural interests, dining and unhurried time aboard rather than a dedicated family entertainment model.
Specialty dining is a central part of the published inclusions. Actual restaurant selection varies across ship generations, and reservations or optional experiences still need checking. The current Your World Included offer describes a package of services, but booking market, date and chosen fare determine the applicable benefits. Compare the actual offer rather than applying a historical promotion to a new reservation.
The onboard account is cashless and denominated in US dollars. This differs from the currency used to buy a cruise in a regional market. Programme language has not been conclusively established from the primary passenger information reviewed, so a translated website is not treated as a service-language promise. Select a sailing by itinerary, room category and confirmed inclusions, with current fleet members separated from future renamings and construction projects.
