Port reference

Seattle

Seattle is a seasonal starting point for Alaska cruises on the Pacific Northwest coast. The port's 2026 programme runs principally from spring through autumn. A sailing from Washington State is not the same journey as boarding in an Alaskan destination; compare the sea days and complete itinerary as well as the embarkation city.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

Two cruise facilities serve different parts of the waterfront. Bell Street Pier at Pier66 is beside the Downtown waterfront, while Smith Cove at Pier91 is farther north. Knowing which one serves your departure changes the final transfer. The port's transport guide associates Pier66 with Norwegian and Oceania and identifies several other major lines at Pier91. The dated schedule remains the check for a particular ship.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport provides the main air connection. The port describes cruise-line buses, taxis, rideshare and airport shuttles. Link light rail reaches Westlake Station in Downtown, after which a final connection to the terminal is required. Rail to the city should not be described as rail directly to Smith Cove or into the passenger building.

For a stay around the cruise, Pike Place Market and the Downtown waterfront offer city exploration near the Bell Street area. Space Needle provides another landmark outing. Walking distances depend on the actual pier and route; a description convenient for Pier66 should not automatically be applied to Pier91, particularly with luggage.

The port reports shore-power capability at all three cruise berths. That is an infrastructure feature, rather than a guarantee about a particular ship's energy use during every call. For practical planning, focus on embarkation instructions, luggage drop-off and the final transfer or parking reservation.

Port Valet can provide airport luggage handling for eligible participating passengers. Check the programme conditions for your ship, airline and departure instead of assuming every bag can be sent ahead. Leave enough time for any city visit after disembarkation and for the journey back to the airport. The general harbour coordinate here locates Seattle's port area; the two individual terminal addresses determine arrival.

Getting there

Airport connections

Use Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) with a confirmed transfer to Pier66 or Pier91. The port lists cruise-line transfers, taxis, rideshare and airport shuttles; verify the actual meeting point.

Rail connections

Link light rail connects SEA with Westlake Station. Continue from Downtown to the assigned pier by an appropriate local connection; the terminal is not inside the light-rail station.

Local transport and final connection

Pier66 and Pier91 have separate taxi, shuttle and rideshare arrangements. Follow the current port guide and ship assignment, and check eligibility before using Port Valet luggage services.
