About us Oceania Vista
Oceania Vista introduced the Allura Class to the brand in 2023. Fincantieri built the ship at Sestri Ponente in Genoa. Its permanent IMO number is 9876957. A delivery announcement published on 2 May refers to a handover in the preceding days; the publication date should not be mistaken for the precise handover day.
The naming celebration took place in Valletta with chef Giada De Laurentiis as godmother. The operator's maiden-voyage record identifies May 2023 as the start of passenger operations. Naming, technical delivery and the first passenger sailing are different milestones, useful distinctions when comparing the age of ships.
The current individual ship page explicitly specifies 1,200 guests at double occupancy. It gives length as 791 feet, approximately 241.1 metres. Gross tonnage is left unresolved here: the builder's delivery announcement used approximately 67,000, while the operator now markets 68,000. Those rounded figures do not establish a precise registered measurement. The launch-era crew complement likewise does not prove today's staffing on a particular departure.
Vista's present culinary page lists Jacques alongside Toscana, Polo Grill and Red Ginger. This matters because older introductory material still describes Ember. Do not choose a current dinner reservation using an obsolete opening menu. The ship also introduced Aquamar Kitchen and The Bakery at Baristas; different venues serve different purposes, so restaurant meals, culinary activities and drinks should be compared individually.
The voyage scheduled from New York on 28 October 2026 provides a concrete example of Vista's programme: fourteen days ending in Miami with Caribbean calls. It is a dated itinerary, rather than a permanent route or a promise that every sailing visits those islands. Independent excursions should fit the confirmed arrival and departure times.
Compare accommodation location and category benefits before selecting a room. Dining reservations and availability still matter even when meals are included. Onboard accounts use US dollars, while new bookings follow the adult transition announced in January 2026 with existing minor reservations protected. Neither a shared ship class nor similar marketing photographs makes every service interchangeable with Allura.

A dash means no independently verified value is available. Guest counts at double occupancy and maximum capacity are different measures. GT measures enclosed volume, not weight.
