About us Oceania Marina

Oceania Marina was built by Fincantieri at Sestri Ponente and entered passenger service in January 2011. Its permanent IMO number is 9438066. The current insurer and operator both identify 66,084 gross tonnage. This was Oceania's first purpose-built ship, introducing a larger platform than the former Renaissance vessels while retaining an emphasis on dining and destinations.

The actual completed 2024 refurbishment brought Aquamar Kitchen, an outdoor pizzeria and a poolside ice-cream venue. The operator's May announcement records the ship back in service, providing evidence of completed work rather than a future booking promise. Penthouse accommodation and public spaces were also renewed as part of that programme.

A separate comprehensive renovation was announced for October 2026. The accommodation page states that most rooms will have showers only from 5 November 2026 and explicitly warns that its images show post-refurbishment arrangements. At the research date those previews do not independently prove that every planned change is complete. The last confirmed completed refurbishment is therefore kept distinct from the latest announced project.

Marina's dining offer combines the Grand Dining Room with specialty venues, informal meals and culinary activities. A cooking-school experience is different from an ordinary included restaurant meal, so check the actual reservation and any additional charge. The familiar Lalique staircase and residential-style suites are individual design references, while the room category determines floor plan and access to particular services.

Current ship facts list 624 suites and rooms. Fincantieri's original accommodation reference differs, so the present operator inventory is dated separately from the delivery design. The capacity FAQ specifies 1,250 guests on a double-occupancy basis; that is not a separately verified certified maximum or a figure calculated from today's room count. Crew and physical deck totals remain open where guest labels alone are insufficient.

New bookings follow Oceania's January 2026 adult transition, with earlier reservations involving minors honoured. Onboard accounts use US dollars. The precise departure determines route and time in port, and a planned renovation can affect which accommodation illustrations are applicable. Compare actual room description, itinerary and fare before arranging independent transport, keeping current services separate from a future rendering.
