This record covers fourteen vessels across PONANT Explorations and PONANT Yachting. The main directory lists thirteen vessels, combining the three-masted Le Ponant, the Spirit of Ponant catamaran, four Sisterships, six PONANT Explorers and the high-polar vessel Le Commandant Charcot. The current Yachting fleet additionally confirms La Désirade alongside Spirit of Ponant; Spirit is counted once. These are different forms of travel rather than one uniform product. The current group directory also links Paul Gauguin Cruises and Aqua Expeditions. Those separate brands are not silently added to the combined Explorations and Yachting count.

Compare the actual vessel and departure before choosing an expedition. A chartered sailing yacht, an Explorer voyage and a high-polar route offer different accommodation, public areas and practical routines. The number of passengers is only one part of that comparison. Look at the balance between sea days, destination calls and activities, as well as the individual room configuration.

The six Explorers feature the Blue Eye underwater lounge. That specific venue is not assumed to exist on every vessel bearing the wider group name. Le Commandant Charcot has a separate high-polar design and scientific spaces, while Spirit of Ponant is currently presented as a private-charter option in the Seychelles. A familiar brand does not make those settings interchangeable.

Published onboard currency is the euro, with US dollars also accepted and bills presented in both currencies. The currency used to reserve a voyage in a regional market is a different issue. Check the applicable booking and onboard arrangements rather than treating a dollar price on the US website as evidence of a different shipboard policy.

The operator describes dining developed with Ducasse Conseil, with venue arrangements varying by ship. Compare the actual dining spaces and confirmed programme rather than assuming the same restaurant names everywhere. A voyage should be selected through its ship, accommodation and destination schedule together. Then match independent transport and shore plans to the exact embarkation point and timings. A broad region name alone cannot explain the practical differences between an expedition landing, an established port and a private yacht itinerary.
