About us La Désirade

La Désirade is a Lagoon Seventy 7 sailing catamaran in the PONANT Yachting offer. Lagoon's own July 2025 account confirms that the yacht was launched that year and was already cruising in the Mediterranean. This is evidence of actual operation, separate from a proposed future launch. The yacht is not another name for Spirit of Ponant.

The current charter programme accommodates up to nine guests in four staterooms. Sailoé, the operating partner identified by Lagoon, explains that an additional Pullman bed in one double room provides the ninth sleeping place. Four rooms therefore do not imply eight as the published maximum. Accommodation configuration and total permitted guests should be compared on their stated basis.

A crew of four includes the captain, first mate, chef and hostess in the current Yachting presentation. The small team and shared spaces create a private-yacht setting rather than the hotel structure of a larger cruise vessel. Check the charter description and how the party intends to use the rooms and common areas before making arrangements.

The operator describes Mediterranean cruising in summer and Caribbean cruising in winter. This is a seasonal offering, not a guarantee that any requested destination can be reached on any date. Match the itinerary to the yacht's actual position and agreed charter period. A dated 2026 operator programme also identifies a Caribbean example from Marigot, which remains a particular voyage rather than an unchanging homeport.

The individual partner specification gives a length of 23.77 metres. Unconfirmed registered tonnage, IMO and exact construction-yard particulars remain documented gaps. Generic technical figures for another Lagoon model are not silently copied into this yacht's record. A shared design name does not establish identical machinery, accommodation or legal identity.

For practical planning, compare the specific room layout and the balance between sailing, anchorages and time ashore. Outdoor seating and access to the water may matter differently to members of the same group. Decide the yacht and charter arrangements together, then align flights and independent stays with the confirmed embarkation point. This provides a clearer travel plan than treating a private catamaran charter as a fixed conventional cruise.
