About us Spirit of Ponant

Spirit of Ponant is a Lagoon Seventy 7 sailing catamaran offered through PONANT's private-yacht programme. The operator introduced its tailor-made catamaran product in 2024. Current material presents the yacht in the Seychelles, where a charter is organised around the party's preferred dates, duration and route. This differs from simply buying a cabin on a fixed large-ship schedule.

The published maximum is twelve guests in six staterooms, served by four crew members. A chef is part of that small team. Compare the actual charter and accommodation configuration rather than assuming a conventional cruise-hotel structure. The crew count describes the operator's current published complement, not the capacity of crew cabins derived from a generic Lagoon drawing.

The yacht's shared spaces include an indoor lounge, outdoor areas forward and aft, and a flybridge. These provide different settings for time aboard, while the aft swim platform connects with water activities. The actual programme and local conditions determine what is available during the charter. A private itinerary is developed with the captain rather than being an unconditional promise to visit any requested place.

Current individual insurance data identifies IMO 1063516, gross tonnage of 135 and registry in Mata Utu. Those particulars should not be replaced by generic specifications for another Seventy 7 yacht. Likewise, the original product's launch date is different from an independently established construction-completion year, which remains documented separately where sources conflict.

For accommodation, compare the exact room arrangement and how your party intends to share the living areas. A small number of cabins changes the social setting but does not remove the need to consider stairs, access and the practical use of outdoor space. The reserved charter description explains the actual configuration.

Spirit should also be distinguished from the three-masted Le Ponant and the second Yachting catamaran La Désirade. They are separate vessels with different accommodation inventories. Choose the yacht, destination and charter arrangements together before organising flights or independent stays. Familiar branding alone does not establish identical capacity, dimensions or everyday routines across those sailing products.
