About us Le Jacques Cartier

Le Jacques Cartier completed PONANT's six-ship Explorer series in 2020. Vard records delivery in July from its Søviknes outfitting yard in Norway, under yard number 890. The operator's current history confirms entry into service in 2020. Construction delivery and subsequent service are kept distinct, even though they fall within the same year.

The present inventory contains 92 staterooms and suites, a maximum of 184 guests and 118 crew. Those are the explicitly published individual figures. A maximum capacity is not automatically treated as double occupancy, nor calculated by multiplying the largest room capacity across the ship. Read the reserved category and its actual configuration separately.

The operator identifies two adapted staterooms for guests with reduced mobility: room 431 on Deck 4 and room 527 on Deck 5. It also describes ramps and Braille signage. These concrete details are more useful than a broad accessibility label. Compare the actual room layout and access needs with the booked voyage; onboard accommodation and expedition landing arrangements are different parts of that planning.

Explorer features include the Blue Eye underwater lounge. The current description also presents an infinity pool with a counter-current system and a hydraulic platform for water-level activities. Availability during a voyage depends on the itinerary and daily arrangements, rather than merely the presence of a feature in a ship description.

Vard specifies 131 metres overall length and eighteen metres moulded beam. Current insurance data matches IMO 9852420 with gross tonnage of 9988 and registry in Mata Utu. These individual particulars differ from Bellot's tonnage despite the two ships' close relationship. Shared design does not justify copying every numeric field from one to the other.

For comparison, begin with the itinerary and room configuration that meet your party's needs. Time at sea, conventional port calls and small-boat activities can shape very different routines. Confirm the exact embarkation place and dates before booking independent transport. The Explorer family explains a platform, while the detailed departure programme and accommodation description explain the particular trip you are choosing.
