About us Le Bellot

Le Bellot entered service in 2020 as the fifth ship in the PONANT Explorer series. Vard's individual reference records delivery in March from Søviknes in Norway, under yard number 889. The original service year is also stated in the operator's current ship history. These dates describe Bellot itself, rather than a later voyage or another member of the class.

The operator publishes a maximum of 184 guests, 92 staterooms and suites, and 118 crew. The accommodation includes private balconies throughout the published room selection. Compare the individual category and configuration rather than assuming every balcony or living area has the same dimensions. A maximum guest figure and a precise double-occupancy capacity remain separate measures.

One particularly useful individual technical distinction is tonnage. Current insurance data gives gross tonnage of 9888, independently corroborated by the US Coast Guard and Québec's port authority. The similar name and exterior of other Explorers do not justify replacing that value with their different tonnage. Permanent IMO 9852418 anchors the identity comparison.

Vard specifies 131 metres overall length and eighteen metres moulded beam. Its reference identifies the VARD 6 08 design and Søviknes as the outfitting yard. That does not imply every stage of hull construction occurred at the same location. Likewise, an accommodation total on a design reference is not a substitute for the operator's explicitly labelled passenger maximum.

The Explorer offering includes the Blue Eye underwater lounge, alongside the individual ship's dining and social spaces. For a specific departure, compare time aboard with the actual shore programme. A lounge can provide a distinctive setting without determining which destinations or activities are available. The booked route and daily instructions explain those practical arrangements.

When choosing a room, consider the paths to shared spaces as well as the room's own layout. A compact ship still has different positions and configurations to compare. Confirm embarkation location and travel dates before arranging independent transport. Bellot's design family provides context, while its own accommodation inventory and the detailed itinerary explain the voyage you are actually selecting.
