About us Le Lyrial

Le Lyrial was delivered by Fincantieri in Ancona in 2015, completing PONANT's four-ship Sisterships series. It followed three earlier vessels of the same design family but introduced a different accommodation inventory. Permanent IMO 9704130 identifies the individual hull throughout its service history.

The current operator page lists 122 staterooms and suites, a maximum of 245 guests and 145 crew. That guest maximum is not calculated by doubling the room count. It is the explicitly published individual figure, and differs from the 264-guest headline of the three earlier sisters. This is a useful practical distinction when comparing ships that otherwise appear similar in exterior photographs.

The actual accommodation categories and room positions remain important. A larger suite changes the relationship between sleeping space, living areas and its outside area. The description of the booked category explains those features more clearly than a fleet-wide room label. Review connections to neighbouring rooms and the position of shared spaces when considering how you will use the accommodation.

Current individual insurance data records gross tonnage of 10992 and registry in Mata Utu. Fincantieri specifies overall length of 142.1 metres, a moulded beam of eighteen metres and electric propulsion motors supported by generating sets. Technical family resemblance does not justify copying a different vessel's precise tonnage or treating service speed as maximum speed.

The published ship experience combines restaurants, lounges, theatre programming, a pool and wellness spaces. Read the actual voyage programme to understand how much time is available aboard between destination calls. A shorter coastal itinerary and a longer expedition can produce very different daily routines on the same hull. The route should therefore be compared alongside the accommodation choice.

For an informed selection, distinguish Lyrial from both the later Explorers and the operator's high-polar vessel. Shared branding does not establish identical lounges, ice capability or excursion arrangements. Confirm the specific departure, embarkation point and activity descriptions before aligning independent travel. The smaller room inventory is one relevant fact, while the complete booked itinerary explains the destination experience you are choosing.
