About us Celebrity Xcite
Celebrity Xcite is the sixth Edge-series ship and a confirmed construction project for Celebrity Cruises, with passenger service planned for 2028. Its physical construction began with a steel-cutting ceremony at Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire on 23 October 2025. The operator announced the name at that event. This distinguishes Xcite from a ship that is merely ordered and from Celebrity Xcel, which was delivered on the same day.
The two vessels have easily confused names but different places in the fleet timeline. Xcel entered the operational fleet in 2025; Xcite remains a future vessel at this review date. Delivery of one does not establish delivery of the other. The construction year field is therefore left empty until completion is documented, while the planned service year is retained explicitly as a forecast. A project reference is not treated as an earlier passenger-service name.
In a November 2025 interview published by the parent company, Celebrity's president described a reworking of the upper decks and outdoor experience for Xcite. She also discussed possible Italian dining, without publishing a final inventory of named restaurants. These comments establish a design direction, not a complete list of finished venues. No dining package, room entitlement, opening schedule or particular deck location is promised from that interview.
The Edge-series relationship is useful background, but it is not a substitute for individual specifications. The family already contains ships of different lengths and accommodation arrangements. This profile therefore does not copy Xcel's tonnage, room count or guest capacity, or the lead ship Edge's shorter dimensions. An unverified maximum cannot be calculated from an assumed number of cabins, and a rounded investment-table estimate is not presented as a final measured limit.
The operator's current preview continues to state 2028 and says further details will follow. A first itinerary, permanent homeport and complete technical inventory are not established by that preview. These omissions remain visible research gaps, rather than invented booking advice. The verified construction milestone justifies keeping a separate future-ship record, but missing mandatory technical and identity fields prevent it from counting as a complete release-ready reference profile.

A dash means no independently verified value is available. Guest counts at double occupancy and maximum capacity are different measures. GT measures enclosed volume, not weight.
