About us Celebrity Xcel

Celebrity Xcel was delivered at Saint-Nazaire in October 2025 and began passenger operation that November. It is the fifth Edge-series ship, not a renamed earlier vessel. The present hull is identified by IMO 9884136. Current insurance records 141,262 GT, which differs from the 141,420 figure still repeated in many sales summaries. This record uses the individual current entry for that technical comparison.

The Bazaar is the clearest change from earlier Edge ships. This multi-level setting combines destination-inspired food, market activity and performances. Mosaic and Spice Cafe serve different meal formats within that concept. European and Caribbean festival programmes differ, so a guest should examine the sailing's events instead of expecting one fixed festival on every voyage. An onboard cultural event also remains distinct from visiting the corresponding place ashore.

Bora adds an outdoor rooftop dining setting, with different daytime and evening formats. Celebrity Pool Club provides another focus outside, including separately arranged cabanas. Compare the space and booking conditions with how you actually spend a sea day. A restaurant reservation, a cabana and general pool access are different services and should not be treated as one entitlement attached to any balcony cabin.

Attic at The Club supplies an adult-oriented games lounge. The Hydra Room is a water-focused addition to the spa's thermal facilities, while the Vitamin D Deck provides an associated outdoor area. These named spaces help locate activities; their existence does not establish that all spa access is included in every fare. The Retreat and ordinary accommodation similarly have different access conditions, even where the public deck plan places them close together.

Technical particulars give 326.5 metres overall length and 39 metres hull breadth. A 1,646-room inventory is corroborated by deck references and an onboard review. Published lower-berth figures disagree and remain unresolved; the current corporate charter reference explicitly lists 3,836 maximum guests. Crew and total-deck inventories also remain open where incompatible definitions persist. Royal Caribbean Group describes tri-fuel capability including methanol. That is fuel flexibility, not evidence that every voyage uses methanol or produces no emissions. No later completed comprehensive refurbishment is assumed from the ship's recent age.
