About us Royal Princess

Royal Princess introduced the current Royal class in 2013. It was delivered at the end of May, named in Southampton by the Duchess of Cambridge on 13 June and began its inaugural cruise on 16 June. These were separate events within its first operating season. The name Royal Princess also belonged to earlier ships, so the individual IMO 9584712 is the safer identifier for comparing technical records.

SeaWalk was a defining feature of the design. Its glass-floored corridor extends beyond the hull and provides a view towards the water below. This public viewpoint differs from a cabin balcony: location, privacy and what sits under the room still need to be checked for the actual accommodation. The central Piazza supplies another gathering space, with the ship organised around several different social and entertainment settings.

Main restaurants Allegro, Concerto and Symphony are separate from the speciality choices. Crown Grill, Sabatini's and a sit-down pizzeria provide further possibilities, while International Café supports a less formal stop. Chef's Table Lumiere is an individual reserved experience. Decide how many meals you genuinely want to book before comparing a package, since the presence of a restaurant does not make every service or tasting part of the basic fare.

Princess Theater, Princess Live and Vista Lounge offer different indoor evening spaces. Poolside Movies Under the Stars is an alternative when the outdoor programme suits. Lotus Spa and The Enclave should be evaluated through their access conditions, rather than assumed to be included because the ship has a fitness centre. Families can also compare the separate children's and teen areas with the ages travelling and the daily timetable.

Published standard occupancy is 3,560 guests across 1,780 rooms, with 1,346 crew in the operator's reference. Current builder and insurer identify 142,714 GT, rather than the older 142,229 used at delivery. Length overall is 330 metres and moulded breadth 38.4 metres; a larger dimension across SeaWalk answers another measurement question. October 2026 drydock plans are not recorded as a completed refurbishment before the announced period ends. The diesel-electric propulsion record belongs to this ship, without borrowing LNG specifications from Sun or Star.
