About us Regal Princess

Regal Princess joined the fleet in 2014 as the second Royal-class vessel. Its first cruise on 20 May preceded the November naming ceremony, where the original cast of The Love Boat acted as godparents. That connection explains part of its identity within Princess, without implying that every screen scene or television setting belongs to this particular ship. The earlier Regal Princess is a different vessel, so its dimensions and accommodation are excluded.

SeaWalk is one of Regal's recognisable outdoor viewpoints: a glazed walkway projects beyond the ship's side. The Piazza provides an indoor social centre, while Princess Theater and Princess Live create other focal points for entertainment. Movies Under the Stars adds outdoor screenings. A guest interested in a quiet room should consider where these public spaces sit relative to the proposed category, rather than assuming a balcony automatically provides seclusion.

The accommodation inventory requires care. The current operator ship page and individual builder agree on 1,780 guest rooms. A separate operator fact sheet gives an inconsistent smaller total and room breakdown, which is not used here. Standard guest capacity is 3,560 with 1,346 crew. Neither the room total nor a count of all people permitted aboard establishes a verified maximum for passengers using additional beds.

Main dining rooms are Allegro, Symphony and Concerto. International Café provides another meal setting, with Crown Grill and Sabatini's among the speciality options. The current page also lists a sit-down pizzeria, but venue names differ between operator references. Confirm the exact venue and reservation conditions on the chosen voyage rather than building a plan around one older label. A dining package should be compared by its actual allowances.

Damen documents an individual engine-block replacement at Rotterdam in 2025. That technical repair is different from a promise that every room received a complete redesign. Fincantieri remains the original builder; Damen is the later repair yard. Current builder and insurer agree on 142,714 GT and IMO 9584724, replacing the older 142,229 figure in marketing. Overall length is 330 metres and moulded breadth 38.4 metres. The individual diesel-electric plant should not be confused with later Sphere-class LNG machinery.
