About us AIDAluna

AIDAluna entered service in 2009 as the third ship in the original Sphinx series built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg. It is identified by IMO 9334868 and currently sails under the Italian flag. The later modified Sphinx quartet has a different spa arrangement, so its specifications are not automatically transferred to this earlier vessel. Current insurer and technical records agree on 69203 gross tons.

The ship completed its Evolution programme in Marseille in December 2025. French Kiss Bar & Bistro, the Yachtclub restaurant and the modernised Theatrium are part of the current offering. The change gives food and entertainment choices a different setting from older descriptions of the ship. Compare the current deck plan when an account written before the work mentions a venue or cabin arrangement that no longer matches.

Families can consider the new activity spaces alongside their own preference for supervised sessions or shared time. A named Kids Club is not a substitute for checking age arrangements and the programme on the actual voyage. Likewise, a newly equipped spa offers choices whose appointment and payment conditions should be read separately. Plan a realistic day between shore visits rather than assuming every possible activity fits one afternoon.

New aft suites and designated suite facilities form another part of the refit. A standard balcony and a suite should be compared by the actual room category and included access, rather than by the broad presence of an outdoor space. The Sky Deck is described for suite guests, so it is not presented as a benefit included with every cabin. Use the booking's own terms where an exclusive area matters.

The operator's individual page and charter inventory both give 1039 rooms; the charter material explicitly labels 2566 as maximum passengers. Overall length is about 252 metres, with 32.2 metres moulded breadth. Diesel-electric propulsion is documented. Exact double occupancy and current crew are not established by rounded financial data or old build-time figures. Deck totals and maximum speed also remain unresolved where source definitions differ. The review preserves those distinctions while recognising the completed 2025 work.
