AIDAdiva entered service in 2007, opening the Sphinx series built for AIDA by Meyer Werft in Papenburg. The actual delivery took place on 16 April 2007. The current ship has IMO 9334856 and Italian registration. Technical particulars give 69203 gross tons; the rounded 69200 in other material is not a separate measure of a larger or smaller ship.
In March 2025, Diva became the first vessel to complete the Evolution modernisation programme. The work changed accommodation and public areas, with a documented completed yard period in Marseille. That completion should be distinguished from the later programmes of its sisters. The original 2007 service year remains useful for understanding the vessel's age, while 2025 describes a specific stage of investment and alteration.
The current dining choices include French Kiss, East Fusion and Yachtclub, alongside bars such as Lanai and Panorama. Compare the style of meal and the conditions attached to the actual fare. A wider choice helps travellers with different preferences share a ship, but it does not make every restaurant or drink interchangeable in price or access. Plan around the terms that apply to the booked departure.
Family accommodation changed too, with additional aft suites and some existing rooms adapted for different occupancy. This makes room-specific information especially relevant for groups. A generic balcony category does not establish the number or arrangement of beds. Check the permitted occupancy, layout and category benefits together. Suite guests have designated facilities, including Sky Deck and Rossini Lounge, whose access should not be promised with every cabin.
The operator describes diesel-electric machinery, approximately 252 metres overall length and 32.2 metres moulded breadth. Current and older room totals disagree: 1033 on the current individual page, 1032 in the completion announcement and 1039 in charter material. Exact present cabins and passenger capacities therefore remain unresolved here. Crew, total decks and a reconciled maximum speed are also unfilled. The profile records the completed refurbishment without presenting incompatible inventories as one precise current specification.
