About us AIDAbella

AIDAbella joined AIDA in 2008 as the second original Sphinx-class ship from Meyer Werft in Papenburg. Its permanent technical identity is IMO 9362542. Current insurance and technical records identify an Italian-flagged ship of 69203 gross tons. It belongs with Diva and Luna in the first Sphinx generation, before the modified series that began with Blu.

On 11 March 2026, the operator confirmed that the ship had resumed service in Palma de Mallorca after seven weeks in Marseille. That actual return takes precedence over older promotional pages still describing the work as upcoming or half complete. The refit updated accommodation, public spaces and the range of places to eat and drink. It did not create a newly built ship with a new service-entry year.

The current Yachtclub buffet and the renewed Theatrium offer useful reference points when choosing a cabin location. Think about the journeys you expect to make between meals, performances and your room. A plan dated after the refurbishment can answer questions that an old review cannot. Compare nearby public spaces and the position of the accommodation rather than relying on a familiar category name alone.

The programme also added or renewed suites and designated suite facilities, including Sky Deck and Rossini Lounge. These should be considered through the entitlement of the chosen booking. A larger range of restaurants does not mean every menu and beverage is included in the same fare. Read the restaurant and package terms before treating a particular venue as part of the travel budget.

The individual current operator page agrees with its charter inventory on 1039 cabins. The latter explicitly specifies 2566 maximum passengers. Overall length is approximately 252 metres and moulded breadth 32.2 metres, supported by individual builder and charter material. Propulsion is diesel-electric. Exact double occupancy, current crew and maximum speed remain unfilled where available references do not reconcile them. A published count of passenger decks is not silently substituted for a verified total, and a build-time inventory is not treated as proof of the post-refit arrangement.
