About us AIDAblu

AIDAblu was delivered by Meyer Werft on 4 February 2010, starting the modified Sphinx sequence that later included Sol, Mar and Stella. Its present identity is IMO 9398888, with Italian registration and 71304 gross tons in current insurance and technical references. This is the Papenburg-built vessel of 2010; an earlier ship using the same AIDAblu name has a different history.

The onboard brewery is a distinctive part of that history and remains represented by the current Brauhaus offering. It gives passengers a particular dining and drinks setting without defining the entire ship experience. Someone planning evenings around food can compare it with the buffet and other restaurant options. Check the tariff and beverage conditions separately instead of treating a named restaurant as evidence that every purchase is included.

Theatrium links entertainment and public life, while Body & Soul Organic Spa offers a different focus for time aboard. Those who prefer a quiet treatment appointment and those who follow performances may value different cabin locations. Inspect the relevant plan rather than assuming that similar room categories occupy identical positions on every sister. A desirable view and a convenient route to a venue are separate choices.

Completed Trieste yard work is documented in November 2022, including maintenance and the addition of shore-power capability. A usable connection still depends on the berth and supply. The larger Evolution transformation is planned for early 2027 and remains future at this review. Proposed dining and accommodation changes should therefore be matched to the travel date, with no promise that a pre-refit voyage already includes the later layout.

Current individual operator and charter inventories agree on 1100 cabins; the charter page explicitly gives 2686 maximum guests. Builder and charter sources support approximately 253.3 metres length and 32.2 metres moulded breadth. Diesel-electric propulsion is documented. Conflicting deck counts are left unresolved, together with exact double occupancy, crew and maximum speed. The builder website's 722 figure is an outside-cabin subtotal in original delivery material, not a defensible total inventory.
