About us Norwegian Aura

Norwegian Aura is an NCL ship under construction at Fincantieri's Monfalcone yard, with passenger service planned for 2027. The builder confirmed its launch in April 2026, marking a move into outfitting rather than the start of passenger operation. Unlike Aqua and Luna, built at Marghera, Aura is the first NCL vessel assembled at Monfalcone. Its published dimensions and accommodation figures remain planned particulars until final delivery documentation is available.

The inaugural programme has already changed during construction. NCL's October 2026 announcement adds Mediterranean departures beginning May 2,2027, before the earlier May 21 voyage. A later Atlantic crossing is intended to lead into Caribbean service from Miami. Those dated announcements take precedence here over a product-page sentence mentioning an April Caribbean start. A reservation should be checked against the actual departure rather than a general launch slogan.

Ocean Heights is intended to concentrate outdoor activities across the upper decks. Published plans include Eclipse Racers, Aura Free Fall, a ropes course, Moon Climber and fairground-style games. The wider programme also includes a children's Aqua Park and an enlarged Vibe Beach Club for adults. Comparing these planned settings can help families discuss priorities, but final participation conditions and access charges should be confirmed when the ship begins service.

The dining announcement introduces Tamara as an Indian speciality restaurant and The Panorama Room as an included dining venue. That distinction matters more for a meal budget than describing every new restaurant as a benefit of every fare. The Haven remains a separate accommodation product; ordinary rooms should not be assigned its dedicated access rights merely because they share the vessel.

The planned headline entertainment includes Whitney: A Celebration of Whitney Houston and ILLUMINOX. The former is a tribute production rather than an appearance by the singer. Travellers booking for a particular show should confirm its place in the eventual programme. Published references currently give about 170,000 GT,344 metres and 3,879 guests at double occupancy. Maximum guests, current flag and an individually verified IMO remain unknown in this record, so it is not treated as complete indexable technical content.
