About us Celebrity Millennium

Celebrity Millennium entered service in 2000 and gave its name to a four-ship class built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire. It is the oldest active ocean-going vessel in Celebrity's current fleet, but its hotel arrangement reflects later work. IMO 9189419 identifies the individual ship. Current operator and technical sources agree on 91011 gross tons, rather than the older rounded 91000 or the historical 90940 figure.

Millennium was the first ship to complete the Celebrity Revolution programme, returning to passengers in February 2019. The operator describes reworked accommodation, restaurants, shopping and casino spaces. The Retreat gained a private sundeck and lounge as part of the suite experience. That change belongs to the existing vessel's history; it does not turn the ship into the newer Edge class merely because some design ideas were shared across the brand.

A later individual operator factsheet records November 2024 as the latest revitalisation. It is kept separate from the major 2019 transformation. The later date alone does not establish that every restaurant was replaced or that a complete new accommodation layout was installed. Use the plan applicable to the sailing to locate rooms and shared spaces, especially when an older brochure uses category names that have since changed.

Metropolitan is the main dining room, with Oceanview Cafe offering another meal setting. Tuscan Grille, Sushi on Five and Le Petit Chef add different specialty experiences. A projected dinner presentation and a conventional restaurant meal should be compared by the kind of evening wanted, with the actual reservation and fare conditions checked. Blu belongs to the AquaClass proposition, while Luminae serves eligible suite guests; neither is a general entitlement attached to every room.

Outdoor film space at the Rooftop Terrace, the enclosed Solarium and indoor lounges create several ways to spend time between ports. Decide how much time those facilities will receive alongside the itinerary, rather than expecting a large newbuild's activity inventory on a smaller older ship. Current corporate information, the updated individual operator sheet and a separate deck reference support 1109 rooms and 2218 double-occupancy guests. Length and breadth are 294 and 32.2 metres. Conflicting maximum-guest and crew inventories remain unresolved, as do a verified total-deck count, maximum speed and complete current machinery specification.
